TOMIX established on 1924 by Francisco Xavier Damião starts its activity with the manufacture of hand knapsack sprayers, in a small village near Torres Vedras.
On 1955 starts the manufacture of cellar equipment and hand knapsack sprayers.
Later, on 1962, manufactures knapsack sprayers provided with motor which begins to call TOMIX.
On 1970 is estasblished the Company "Indústrias Metalomecânicas Xavier Damião, Lda" and specializes itself in equipments for crops treatment and protection purposes, increasing so its range of products and distinguishing itself all over the national market already on 1974.

On 1980 and owning all the required equipment for its range of manufacture, pointing out rotational moulding, automatic lathes and transfers, TOMIX begins to manufacture High Pressure Washers cold and hot flow.
With 68 workers and a 4.500 m2 covered plant, TOMIX comprises a very diversified range of products: sprayers, atomizers, fogg sprayers, manure sprayers, spreaders, cutting Compressors, High Pressure Washers cold and hot flow, industrial vacuum-cleaners and sweepers. The sales increase over the spanish and french markets, as well as over several african countries of official portuguese language.

On 1985 puts on the market equipment for grain stocking and drying.
On 1997, TOMIX faces a great change with the purchase of 75% of its Capital by JOPER, reference Enterprise regarding the manufacture Machines and Equipments for agricultural purposes, allowing so to create an uniform team in what regards agricultural mechanics and providing mutual advantages getting so a better profit of the booth Enterprises co-operations.

On 1998 changes its registered name, being denominated "TOMIX - Indústria de Equipamentos Agrícolas e Industriais, Lda.".
On 1999 the two Companies inaugurate a Northern Delegation with the purpose to increase the share in the North of Portugal and Galicia markets what gives a prompt reply to the strong improvement perceived by both Enterprises during the last years.

The opening of the Northern Delegation is introduced as an investment project which TOMIX and JOPER are becoming concrete ceaselessly so as to increase the quality of products and of services. This investment is carried out to meet more quickly the requirements of our customers either in what regards the delays of delivery or in after-sale assistance.
TOMIX , during almost 8 decades, has followed always an investment strategy in the quality control field and in new technological concepts has tried, through the research, to offer their clients, of the home market and exports, the highest quality products and services in order to help them to improve and profit their own crops.
